Default Table Mesa to Horse Thief/Crown King
So I took my girlfriend out riding yesterday with the goal to make it from table mesa road through tip top and up to Horse theif lake. The trail branches out past tip top as there are multiple ways up there. Passing windy saddle tank(google maps) we took the road to the west up the mountain. Had we taken the trail northeast down the canyon I feel we may have made it. As we got closer to the top I could see the fire tower and other areas that assured me we were within 2 miles as the crow flies. The problem came that any trails between here and there were to rutted or over grown. I didnt want to risk anything since we were solo. Sooo, has anyone been able to make that particular trip? I know there are multiple trails to choose from so id be interested to see what worked for you.
Anywho, here are some pics.

I have not tried that route, but it does sound interesting and one that I would like to do in the near future.

I have.... single track only and the Tip Top trail is not easy to find on the bottom. It takes off up boulder creek from the cabin at Milk Ranch. Single track only and difficult at that.

Those bullet holes are relatively new..... need to make the road way more difficult just to keep out the dickweeds.

Its a good bumpy ride up til the point you cant go any further.
I couldnt agree more about the dickweeds. The area around table mesa makes me absolutely sick!

Yep, you made it to Milk Ranch. You could have gone up the hill and came back through Boulder Creek, but it would have been interesting riding double to say the least.
