Economy vs 2009 racing season
2009 doesn't look real good for me Christmas is coming too. Looks like 09 is going to be a partial season for me. I hope Whiplash splits the series championships into short course/long course like previously mentioned or I'm out of the championship chase for sure. BITD has Parker the first week of 09 and rumors are Whiplash will be running in Quartzite early too.......
Who else is going to a partial schedule in 09?

I am having so much fun racing I was looking forward to doing even more racing in 09, some BITD, try out WORCS for once and all of whiplash. But I am really hurting for money right now too, it sucks. Quads are my only hobby too since I gave up cars a year ago. I really hope I don't have to do a partial schedule.

John Boy...say it isn't soo. Forget about Christmas presents, what really matters is that you're with your family. The question is if you do end up doing a partial season and Whiplash splits the series, which one will you go with... the desert LonG race courses?

I know how you feel John, '09 is going to be a tough one for me and just finishing out '08 has been a struggle since I have been layed off since June. If I don't find something soon, racing maybe totally out.

Im gonna focus on the few BITD races. Racing once a month is a great luxury if you can afford it. I plan on saving for the few big ones for the 09 schedule, and pick and choose with Whiplash.

I plan to race the whole season. My daughter is doing much better and I get to start riding again next week. It sucks missing the whole year. Good job this year Tom I wish I had been racing with you guys this year.

I like to think that Nick and I will be able to do all Whiplash races next year and maybe some BITD. We'll see what happens.

You could always race MX....usually a lot cheaper than the dez races.....although - it's a whole different ballgame. Just sayin'.........
Me personally.....gonna juggle some UTV and quad racing in 2009.....might get a second job to pay race fees, but it wouldn't be the first time.

John,
I'm right there with you as far as partial racing! I am looking seriously at trying the MX thing at Grinding Stone and ET!
