Apache Junction Open Space Clean Up

Apache Junction Open Space Clean Up Saturday March 24th at 8 am. Meeting At the north parking lot of the Apache Junction Rodeo Park. This year we are cleaning up the section of land that is just east of the rodeo park. The event is being sponsored by SALT, Superstition Area Land Trust and is authorized by Arizona State Land Developement. Registration is at 8 am. Bring work gloves, wheelbarrows, water, long handled tools, and a friend. There will be goodies to eat at sign up and Mammoth Saloon at the Goldfield Ghost town has offered 25 percent off of lunch for volunteers. We are in need of ATVs or Quads with small trailers to work the smaller trails to assist volunteers on foot to get trash to the dumpster. Please let us know - are ATVs allowed to be ridden in this area where the cleanup is being held? ATV riders like to care for areas where ATV riding is allowed and it will help get folks out.
