Correct.

If the prodigy unit you have is a proportional system, it has a sensor in it that measures the deceleration of the tow vehicle and sets the amount of voltage going to the trailer brakes based on the deceleration of the tow vehicle. I have a P3 in my truck and it works like a dream. All you need is a direct connect from your battery +12v through a 20 or 30 amp fuse, a connection to your tow vehicle brake light switch, a ground connection and a wire to your trailer connector for the brakes.

Found the wire. Turns out its under the floor and runs into the electrical box below the drivers seat where all the fuses, trans comp, etc are.
Now I just need to get off my *ss and run some wire
