I have changed this ride from to Four Peaks because of the weather forecast for rain and possibly snow around the peaks. Instead, we are going to meet at Bloody Basin Road and I-17 at 10:30am on Sunday February 20th. To get there, take I-17 north from Phoenix to Exit 259 (Bloody Basin Road). Turn right onto Bloody Basin Road and park on right side staging area after pavement ends. From here we will ride east into Agua Fria National Monument and check out some Indian ruins and petroglyphs......some of the most detailed I have seen. We willl then travel east towards the Verde River and Sheeps Bridge for lunch. I might even bring a fishing pole and some worms. On the way back, we can explore many trails and mines around the area. One way from staging area to Sheeps Bridge is approximately 38 miles, so be sure to bring enough fuel for 80 miles at the very least. Light rain is forecast for this Sunday, so be prepared.
